![]() It's worth reading, and gives an idea of the latency involved. ![]() There's a thread on PSW right now, where someone has attempted to measure latency when using the built in multitrack facilities on one of the recent MI digital desks, to route the I/O to use processing plugins on a laptop. I was wondering, are there any options out there that run waves plugins natively that are relatively compact? It is significantly cheaper than the Avid consoles, but doesn't give you a physical control surface which is annoying but isn't a bad option for the price. ![]() I'm looking for something compact - if the S3L could run the plugins then I would get that in a heartbeat, but my current option is an Waves eMotion LV1 system. So now I'm wondering, are there are any other consoles appart from Avids lineup that run waves plugins natively without having to route everything out and back in through a soundgrid server. ![]() But then I discovered that the waves plugins are not compatible with the S3L and the S3L-X. This seemed pretty amazing to me because then it doesn't require me to buy extra gear and I saw the S3L one time and it seemed like the console to to buy because of how compact and modular it is and everything else avid had to offer was way too big. But I have recently discovered the ability to use waves plugins live either with multirack native or using a soundgrid server for lower latency and better stability.īut then I discovered that the Avid consoles can run waves plugins natively on the console. were not a large church with a big budget so we'd like to not have to change our gear to get the features were looking for.So as a studio guy who does some live work, I've always been impressed with waves plugins in the studio. 6 vocals go into studio one and are all processed differently, I would need 6 open channels on our board to return them to?įingers crossed I can get an answer or two. Secondly if we don't use multirack and use studio one, can you only return from the daw to as many "free" channels on the board you have? ie. The issue I for see is that to use the rRM32 as the stagebox you have to tell the channel its communication to FOH via Ethernet but then you cant send a channel via firewire to a computer as well? is it truly and either/or situation? what am I missing? ![]() We've merged to in-ears and now would like the option to use waves multirack foh for our live processing. My church is wanting to use our 32AI board FOH and the RM32 for stage snake which currently were not having any issues. I've attempted to call a couple of times and been on hold for no less than 40 minutes each time. ![]()
